Cashier / To-Go Specialist

Position Overview: 
The Cashier / To-Go Specialist is responsible for ensuring seamless, efficient, and elevated guest experiences for takeout and payment transactions at 36 Granada. This role requires exceptional hospitality, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to maintain the restaurant’s high standards.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Guest Interaction & Customer Service 
Warm, Professional Greeting – Welcome guests with a polished, engaging demeanor, using their name when possible.
Assist with Takeout Orders – Accurately take orders via phone, online, or in person, ensuring menu knowledge and special requests are handled with care.
Upsell & Suggest Enhancements – Recommend wine pairings, signature cocktails (for pickup where allowed), or additional sides to elevate the meal.
Manage Order Accuracy & Presentation – Double-check all to-go orders for accuracy, correct packaging, and proper presentation before handoff.
Handle Guest Concerns Gracefully – Address any issues with professionalism, offering solutions that reflect the restaurant’s high service standards.  


Payment Handling 
Process Payments Efficiently – Handle credit cards and digital payments with precision and speed.
Verify Transactions – Ensure correct pricing, discounts, and gratuities are applied to each bill.
Issue Receipts & Thank Guests – Always offer a gracious farewell and invite guests to return.
 

Order Fulfillment & Packaging Standards 
Ensure Luxury-Level Presentation – Pack orders with high-end branded packaging, double-checking for completeness and temperature control.
Coordinate with Kitchen & Expo Team – Communicate effectively to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
Monitor Special Dietary Requests – Confirm allergen or modification requests are clearly labeled and correctly prepared.

Technology & POS System Management 
Operate the POS System with Precision – Enter orders, apply modifications, and process payments without errors.
Monitor Online Orders in Real Time – Ensure smooth integration between online, phone, and in-person takeout requests.
Troubleshoot Payment & System Issues – Quickly resolve any technical problems to avoid guest inconvenience.  


Organization & Station Maintenance 
Maintain a Spotless Work Area – Ensure the counter, cash register, and to-go station are immaculately clean and stocked.
Stock & Replenish Packaging Supplies – Maintain premium-level to-go bags, utensils, napkins, and condiments in an organized fashion.
Support the Host & Front-of-House Team – Assist with guest inquiries, reservations, and minor service needs during peak hours.  


Qualifications & Skills Required: 
Previous Upscale Restaurant Experience – Preferably in fine dining, luxury hotels, or high-end hospitality.
Exceptional Communication Skills – Ability to engage guests professionally and warmly under pressure.
Strong Attention to Detail – Ensuring order accuracy, cleanliness, and premium presentation.
POS & Tech Proficiency – Experience with restaurant point-of-sale systems, delivery apps, and digital payments.
Ability to Multitask & Work Under Pressure – High-paced environment requiring efficiency and graceful problem-solving.
Knowledge of Upscale Cuisine & Wine – Basic understanding of menu items, wine pairings, and guest preferences.
