Job Type: Full-Time
- Prepare and execute dishes from the sauté and grill stations according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Cook proteins (steaks, seafood, poultry) and vegetables to the correct doneness while ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Maintain proper temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and taste.
- Properly season and plate dishes to enhance presentation.
- Assist in prepping mise en place for the station, including sauces, butters, and garnishes.
- Operate, clean, and maintain grills, sauté pans, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or ordering needs to the kitchen management team.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines to ensure a clean and safe workspace.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
- 2+ years of experience as a line cook, preferably in an upscale or fine-dining restaurant.
- Strong understanding of grilling techniques (searing, charring, basting) and sauté methods (pan-frying, deglazing, sauce work).
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with handling high-quality proteins and ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
